Rwanda Restored seeks to relieve hardship to poor widows & orphans by assisting with housing needs & providing opportunities for income generation though our goat projects & by giving employment for making a variety of African Handicrafts for sale in UK. There is a great commitment to provide secondary education & some 40 students are being sponsored for this with a further 10 being helped for university studies.Believing that every child has the right to attend school has motivated the charity to develope 2 primary schools in more remote parts in an effort to ensure that children of primary school age can learn to read & write & we have seen the number of students here rise from 460 to 1550 & still growing. In addition, Bible distribution takes place widely & mosquito nets are given for protection of whole families along with roofing sheets & other basic needs.
“The Cross Pollinate Foundation enabled Rwanda Restored to complete a much needed school playground at the Gihogwe Secondary School-Kigali- & this means that students can enjoy prolonged periods of relaxation through sport and welcome other schools in sport participation events.”
